Maintenance cycle of laboratory extruder

Feb 14, 2025|

The maintenance cycle of laboratory extruder usually includes two parts: daily maintenance and regular maintenance.

Daily maintenance
Daily maintenance is a regular routine work that does not occupy the equipment operation time and is usually completed during the start-up period. The key points include:

‌Clean the machine: Keep the inside and outside of the machine clean to prevent garbage and impurities from mixing into the material.
‌Lubricate each moving part: Regularly add lubricating oil to each moving part to ensure smooth moving parts.
‌Tighten the loose threaded parts: Check and tighten the loose nuts and bolts.
‌Check and adjust the motor and control instrument: Ensure that the motor operates normally and the control instrument is accurate.
‌Check the pipeline: Ensure that all working parts and pipelines work normally.
Regular maintenance
Regular maintenance is generally carried out after the extruder has been running continuously for a certain number of hours. The specific cycle is as follows:

2500-5000 hours: Disassemble and inspect, measure, and identify the wear of the main parts, replace the parts that have reached the specified wear limit, and repair the damaged parts.
‌Every 2000 hours of operation‌: Perform a comprehensive inspection, including the tightening of all screws, cleaning the transmission gears and replacing the reducer lubricant‌.
